GENEVA---- April 11, 2009 --- Mr. Ban Ki-moon, secretary-general of the United Nations, sent a thank you letter to Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman and CEO of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization, extending his appreciation for his services and efforts exerted as a UN Global Compact Board member.

“I highly value the strategic and policy guidance that you contributed to the Board’s deliberations,” Mr. Ki-moon said in his letter.

The UN Secretary General General praised the ongoing role played by Abu-Ghazaleh to promote the objectives of the Global Compact worldwide.
